Based in Seattle, Washington, Torin Frost & Lauren Santi are a conscious hip-hop and soul duo whose music is as healing as it is electrifying. Torin is a master freestylist—mind-bending, improvisational, and effortlessly uplifting while Lauren brings deeply soulful vocals that anchor their performances in warmth, vulnerability, and love. Together, they’ve been described as “high cranial, inspirational, and profoundly heart-opening,” offering a unique sound that merges intelligence, emotion, and spiritual depth.
Their artistry draws from lived experience and meaningful storytelling. Their songs explore themes such as plant medicine healing (including Lauren’s cancer journey), decolonization, Indigenous food and water sovereignty, and the interconnectedness of land and lineage. They have also created two original cinematic musical films, shot across 8,000 miles through Mexico, following the migration path of the monarch butterfly and the spiritual lessons embedded in that journey. Their live sets may include sophisticated personalized freestyle, soul vocals, DJ/electronic elements, and even live accompaniment to their cinematic films with a projector and screen.
